This event will require
participation from all scouts and parents..............
We can sell popcorn at the
Weekend event Sept 21,22,23. We will be selling the microwave
popcorn, plus the option to send popcorn to troops overseas.
To do this will take sacrifice from the rank and file. We are
already committed for volunteer service to help park cars Friday
evening, most of Saturday and a few hours on Sunday. To sell
popcorn also we'll will need parent assistance as well as scouts.
I plan to be able to rotate scouts from the parking lot to the
popcorn booth to sell popcorn during each shift The popcorn
booth will need at least 1 adult while the parking lot will need at
least 3 adults during peek times (Saturday concert) For scouts
the popcorn booth will only need 2 boys at a time, while the parking
lot will need depending on time of day 5-8 scouts. That means
I'll need any where from 3-4 adults and 7 to 11 scouts per shift.
Here is how I currently see it:
Shifts and times:
Friday 4pm-8pm shift - Parking lot 5 scouts / Popcorn booth 2
scouts with 3 Adults supervising.
Saturday 10am -3pm shift - Parking lot 6 scouts / Popcorn booth 2 scouts
with 4 Adults supervising.
Saturday 3pm -8pm shift - Parking lot 8 scouts / Popcorn booth 2 scouts
with 4 Adults supervising.
Sunday 11am to 3pm shift - Parking lot 4 scouts / Popcorn booth 2 scouts
with 3 Adults supervising.
We still have the option of
going to the Richmond Walmart on Sunday afternoon if need be to sell
popcorn. With luck we will sell-out at the Ceremony.
